There is no charge for using the Internet Banking service, however there may be charges for operating your bank account. Bank of Scotland makes no charge for the use of its Internet Banking service. However, any charge made by your Telecoms Provider and/or Internet Service Provider (ISP) for using the Internet will still apply.
When is Business Internet Banking available?
Internet Banking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.*
How do I contact the Business Internet Banking Helpdesk?
You can contact them on 0845 300 2924 (+44 (0)131 339 8620 from overseas).
Can I access my accounts from anywhere in the world?
Yes, as long as you have internet access.
What browsers can I use to access Business Internet Banking?
Always use the latest version of your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari). Web browsers often provide a level of inbuilt protection such as anti-virus and anti spyware. However, you should not regard this as a substitute for your own anti-malware products, which still need to be maintained. Using an out of date browser increases the likelihood that someone might be able to exploit a weakness, so having the most up to date version and ensuring that all security patches have been applied is important.
Do I need any special software?
No, Business Internet Banking should run on any web browser with the equivalent functionality of Microsoft Internet Explorer v. 7.0 or above.
What are the online payment limits per account?
What is Delegated Access?
You can choose to set different levels of online access for each of your internet banking users, depending on their role and your business requirements. There are three user access levels to choose from: Full access user (for account signatories only); Full access delegate user and View only user.
How do I apply for delegate users on my account?
A potential delegate user will need to register for Internet Banking.
We will then write to the delegate at the business address, the account signatories need to sign this form and return to us.
We will then send out the welcome pack and security device.
How do I amend/remove an existing user?
If you want to amend or remove an existing user, please complete an Internet Variation Form. This form can be found under 'Manage Access to Accounts' in the right hand menu when you have logged into Business Internet Banking.
Alternatively, please call 0845 300 2924.
What do I do if I have forgotten to print or save the application form or I have lost the form?
Call the Business Internet Banking helpdesk on 0845 300 2924 and we'll send you a new pre-populated form.
When you no longer require access to Business Internet Banking?
If you or colleague leaves the business or changes roles and no longer requires access to your accounts through Business Internet Banking, the account signatories will need to complete and sign an Internet Banking Mandate Variation form. Without this they will still be able to access the business accounts if using the same authentication card.
You can register for Business Internet Banking in three quick and easy steps.

7 working days
You will receive your welcome pack and card & card reader by post. Your registration for Business Internet Banking is now complete and you will have everything you need to log on to Internet Banking for the first time.
There are two methods of logging on to Internet Banking – using your card reader or memorable information. You’ll still need your card reader to make payments, set up recipients and for other transactions. Using memorable information is a safe and secure way to log in to Internet banking. Once set up you only need three characters to access your account making it quicker than using the card reader to log in.
Memorable information is a memorable word or phrase that you set up the first time you log onto Internet Banking.
This allows you to log in without your card and card reader, making it even easier and more convenient to access your business accounts online whenever and wherever is convenient to you.
When you log on in future you will be asked to enter your user ID, your password and you’ll then be given the option to use either your card reader or memorable information. If you choose memorable information you will be asked to enter three characters eg the second, fourth and eighth character. This allows you to log in without your card and card reader, making it even easier and more convenient to access your business accounts online whenever and wherever is convenient to you.
Best of all it will also enable you to use our Business Mobile Banking app which requires just three characters from your memorable information to log in, making it even quicker to access your accounts on the go.
Card readers generate unique, one-time passcodes used to help identify you and to confirm some of your online banking activities, especially payments. We’ll prompt you each time you need to use it and simple on-screen instructions will always guide you through the steps to take. Your card reader holds no personal information about you and does not need to be connected to a computer.
