How to register for Telephone Banking
To register for Telephone Banking, just call 0845 300 0268 and a Customer Service Advisor will take your details. We'll guide you through the registration process and you'll be able to take advantage of our improved service shortly afterwards.
Once your application is processed you'll be asked to set up a password on your accounts which will identify you, or any registered users, each time you call. It allows us to securely carry out a full range of transactions on your account.
Touch tone option
If you're registered for Telephone Banking and your phone is compatible you will be offered the choice of either using our touch tone service or speaking directly to a Customer Service Advisor.
The touch tone option is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Using the keypad on your phone you can:
Check your account balance
Check available funds for withdrawal
Listen to recent transactions
Transfer money between your Bank of Scotland and other accounts
For services such as setting up standing orders or direct debits, you can simply connect to one of our Customer Service Advisors at any point
How to find out if your phone is compatible
To see if your phone is compatible with our touch tone service, look for a switch on the base or side. Move the switch to one of the following settings: 'T', 'Tone', 'DTMF' or 'TB' (and not 'P' or 'Pulse').
