Existing Mortgage Agreements
Your Mortgage Agreement will continue under existing terms until your mortgage is paid off or you decide to switch to another financial provider.
It is important that you continue to meet your monthly mortgage repayments.

Is there any impact to my existing Mortgage once the transfer to Bank of Scotland plc takes place?
No, your Mortgage Agreement will continue under the current terms and conditions until all outstanding amounts have been repaid or you decide to repay it early.
Your monthly repayment will continue to be collected as normal and you will receive a Bank of Scotland plc Mortgage statement annually. Customers will be notified in the future of any changes (if any) in how their accounts will be serviced.

How do I find out information about my mortgage, for instance current balance, term remaining or interest rate?
You will continue to receive your annual statement as normal from Bank of Scotland plc and if you would like to find out any other information about your mortgage you can call the Customer Service Centre on 1800 556 583.
What happens if I want to Top Up my mortgage in the future?
Bank of Scotland plc will only be dealing with your existing mortgage and will not be offering Further Advance facilities, including Top Ups.

Will I be able to transfer my mortgage account from one rate option to another in the future?
Yes, if this is permitted by your terms and conditions.
- Switches from existing Tracker Rate to Fixed Rates - If you switch from a Tracker Rate to a Fixed Rate, our tracker commitment to you is deemed to be at an end and our variable rate will apply at the expiry of your new fixed term. For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to advise you that if you avail of a Fixed Rate, you will lose the ability to avail of a Tracker Rate Mortgage in the future.
- Switches from existing Tracker Rate to Variable Rates - If you switch from a Tracker Rate to a Variable Rate, our tracker rate commitment to you is deemed to be at an end. For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to advise you that if you avail of a Variable Rate, you will lose the ability to avail of a Tracker Rate Mortgage in the future.

Can I change my mortgage from Capital & Interest to Interest Only?
If you are concerned that you will have trouble paying your mortgage or have already missed payments, please contact Certus, on(01) 898 0013 from Monday to Friday 9.00am until 5.15pm to find out more about the options available to you.
Will I still be able to view my mortgage balance through an online banking balance view facility?
No. All online banking services and facilities have been removed. This means that customers are no longer able to view balances on their mortgage accounts online. You will continue to receive annual statements from Bank of Scotland plc as you would normally, however if you need to know your account balance, please call 1800 556 583.
My contact details have changed what should I do?
It is important to let us know if your contact information has changed since you took out your Mortgage e.g. mobile phone number.

What happens if I have previously applied for a mortgage?
Applicants who have applied for a mortgage previously through Halifax /Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Homeloans will have received a Notification Letter informing you of the Bank's withdrawal from Retail and Intermediary banking and the impact on your application.
