Group Deposits

On the 19th August 2010, Lloyds Banking Group plc announced its intention to close Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Limited on the 31st December 2010. On the 31st December 2010, all of the assets and liabilities of Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Limited transferred to Bank of Scotland plc through a merger and Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Limited ceased to exist.

In line with the Consumer Protection Code (CPC) and the Terms & Conditions of the accounts, letters were issued to customers to formally serve notice of the intention to close Deposit Accounts from the 1st December 2010. Deposit Accounts that are pledged to Bank of Scotland plc will remain open (for example if we hold the account as security for a loan or other facility).

If you have already claimed your closing balance, then you need to take no further action. If you have not yet claimed your closing balance on your Deposit Account, please complete the Deposits Closure Form which can be downloaded here and send it to:
