Preferential loan rates for eligible businesses

As part of our commitment to helping businesses all the way, Bank of Scotland has entered into an agreement with the European Investment Bank. This agreement enables us to offer preferential loan rates to eligible Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the UK. This offer is available for a limited time.

Key features

  • Minimum of two years funding.
  • Borrow from £25,000.
  • Base rate linked or fixed interest rate.
  • Preferential rates.
  • Arrangement fees will apply.
  • Loans are for eligible purposes/projects.
  • Term of the loan cannot exceed the life of the project or asset it is funding.

EIB funding may be granted for the following:

  • research and development expenditure
  • the purchase, renovation or extension of tangible assets such as business premises
  • developing distribution networks in domestic or EU markets
  • not for refinance.
