Smooth move promise

Because we're with you all the way, with us switching is simple. We'll take responsibility for:

  • re-directing all your standing orders and Direct Debits
  • transferring your balance to your new Bank of Scotland Business Account
  • closing your account with your old bank.

Free* day-to-day banking for 6 months

To welcome you to Bank of Scotland, you'll enjoy 6 months' free* day-to-day banking when you switch to us. This means:

  • no charges for paying-in or withdrawing cash
  • no fees for issuing or paying-in cheques
  • no charges on standing orders or direct debits.

When your 6 months' free* banking finishes, our Business Extra Tariff (PDF) will be applied to your account.

A relationship management team you can count on

When you move to us you'll get all the support you need for a smooth account transfer from our relationship management team.

We help check things are running smoothly

We will then complete the process by closing your old bank account if this has been requested.

If you're overdrawn on your old account

We will contact you to discuss repayment. Subject to availability of cleared funds in your account, we will arrange to repay your overdrawn balance within 3 days or at an alternative date agreed with you.

Do you make regular payments to a pension fund?

For your protection there are strict laws governing the financial management of pension funds. That means we can't instruct your pension provider to begin collecting payments from a different account. You will need to contact them directly to give them details of your new Bank of Scotland account. They can update their system to collect the relevant payments from your new account.
